The subject of assembly works was shortening of the existing rotary kiln on foundation II due to a replacement of a planetary cooler for a grate cooler and a replacement of deformed parts of a shell on foundation III. From the technical point of view the works were highly demanding, therefore the rotary kiln reconstruction was divided to two phases: the 1^st phase was performed in December 2018 and the 2^nd phase in January and February 2019. We used a crane of 300 tons for the disassembly and assembly works. In total we welded 8 assembly circumferential joints on the rotary kiln shell. A purpose of this reconstruction was enhancement of the equipment capacity and its effectivity.
